1. Who we are

Pomodoro AI is a Chrome extension that helps you manage your time using the Pomodoro technique. It is an independent, personally developed tool. Questions about this policy can be directed to us at [email protected].

2. What information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to operate the service:

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier assigned by Google to your account. We do not receive your Google password or access to any other Google services.
• Focus session records. Each time you complete a Pomodoro focus session, we record the date, time, and duration of that session and associate it with your account.
• App settings. Your preferences — such as work and break durations, and sound settings — are stored locally in your browser and synced across your devices by Chrome. These are never transmitted to our servers.

We do not collect your browsing history, the content of any web pages you visit, your location, keystrokes, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above.

3. How we use your information

The information we collect is used solely to provide the app's features:

• Your name is displayed as a personalised greeting inside the extension.
• Your focus session records are used to calculate and display your daily count, all-time total, and activity heatmap.
• Your account identifier is used to keep your sessions associated with your account across devices.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose other than delivering the features described above.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party, with the following narrow exception:

• Google. The sign-in process is handled by Google's OAuth 2.0 service. When you choose to sign in, you interact directly with Google under their own Privacy Policy. We receive only the account information described in Section 2.

No analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers receive any information about you.

5. Data retention

Your account information and session records are retained for as long as you use the extension. If you wish to have your data deleted, please contact us using [email protected] and we will remove your account and all associated records promptly.

6. Security

All communication between the extension and our service is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored only on your own device and are never exposed to other users or third parties. We take reasonable and appropriate technical measures to protect your information against unauthorised access.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to restrict or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, please email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children's privacy

Pomodoro AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
